This week we would like to share with you some covers for the jazz-influenced drum & bass. We have discovered several YouTube videos with different musicians performing energetic as well as laidback dnb music. Watch out for the drum covers for High Contrast, London Elektricity and Amon Tobin, plus the performances of two live bands, who recreated the tracks by Squarepusher!
Also, this year saw Hospital Records releasing three official covers for London Elektricity! They were created by the jazz bands KYX Orchestra and Riot Jazz Brass Band, and a reggae collective called Gentleman’s Dub Club. They did interpretations of Tony Colman’s classic works: All Hell Is Breaking Loose, Out Of This World and Just One Second. The record can be purchased on both vinyl and digital.
