Drum & Bass on the screen: back to the 90’s

Our final write-up on drum & bass music videos is entirely devoted to the classic dnb! We are recalling the golden period of late 90’s – early 2000’s. These videos are certainly capable of causing nostalgic feels to listeners with an experience… Sit back and enjoy the action!

Music videos of the 90’s were more based on building an atmosphere, matching the dnb sound of those times, and taking you on a journey to the old good days. Comparing to the current videos, the early ones had a higher degree of involving the producers themselves and reflecting their surroundings – urban areas, clubs, studios… The best examples could be seen in works of Dieselboy, Roni Size, as well as Goldie, who we covered earlier. But there is always a place for something eccentric: like Piper from Jonny L, with its fantastic and eerie motives; or Coded Language, which sees MC Saul Williams, in a bombastic manner delivering some message about music.
