Evol Intent

Ребята из Evol Intent определённо любят брутальные голосовые сэмплы. Они засэмплили такие триллеры, как «Dawn Of The Dead» (для трека «Suicide»), «28 Days Later» (для трека «The Blood») и «The Matrix». Из последнего они взяли лишь крик Нео, который в треке «Horns & Halos» звучит прямо перед дропом. А для «Mutiny» была взята угрожающая речь из драмы под названием «Taxi Driver». Но внушительнее всего, по нашему мнению, звучит голос предводителя Далеков из «Doctor Who» — обязательно оцените его в «Time War», коллабе от Evol Intent и Eye-D.

Раннее творчество Current Value запомнилось нам ещё и тем, что в нём звучали величественные цитаты из художественного кино и сериалов. Мы считаем, что самые яркие из этих сэмплов были заимствованы из «The Prophecy», «Battlestar Galactica», а также известного многим «Alien 3». Трек «Crusader» 2012 года тоже показался нам примечательным, благодаря звуку меча и речи самого диктора, который в оригинале произносит текст в документальном историческом фильме «Crusades: Crescent & The Cross». Но самым необычным источником стоит назвать аудиокнигу Уэйна Дайера «Getting in the Gap», в которой автор на фоне эмбиент-музыки призывает слушателя расслабиться и очистить свой разум…

DJ Hidden

У DJ Hidden просто масса голосовых сэмплов, вы заметите их почти в каждом его треке. В основном артист берёт загадочные, интригующие реплики, которые как нельзя хорошо встраиваются в его музыку. К примеру, в «Chosen» и «Instinct» засветились цитаты из сериалов «Penny Dreadful» и «Dexter», а в «Highways» — отрывок из аудиокниги «Book Of Blood». Что касается видеоигр, то Ноэль применял звуки радиопомех из Silent Hill — саунд-дизайн в этой игре известен сам по себе. Но есть и небольшие исключения из правил. Например, в «Sandwaves» звучит вокал из кантри-песни, а в «Speed Bump» — реплика из документалки про битбокс (однако это, возможно, заслуга партнёра DJ Hidden — Eye-D, который известен своей любовью к хип-хопу).
