Bootlegs can be rightfully called an essential part of the dnb culture, even most prominent artists try their hands on it. Even though some of them see the light of day as free tracks, the major amount still remains in a dubplate form. That’s no surprise, considering their questionable legality: ‘bootleg’ means that a tune was reworked without the permission of the original producer, who, in case of official remixes, also sends parts of tracks.
Whatsoever, the tracks we selected for today (some of them are titled as ‘edits’) are by no means worse than originals: Knick and The Enemy of Evol Intent make a great use of Bjork’s vocals, Sam Binga turns a Shy FX classic into a halftime banger, and Billain pays homage to Desimal!
